Organizational Units in Grenadine

Introduction

Organizational Units is a feature for enterprise customers that allows you to manage and create multiple instances for your Organization. This is useful for splitting the Event Manager across multiple instances for different uses.

Organizational Units Table

  1. The Customer that is associated with this Organizational Unit. This is your Organization.
  2. The name of your Organizational Unit.
  3. A description of your Organizational Unit.
  4. The active status of your Organizational Unit. You can edit the value of this column directly from the table. Hover over the active row you would like to change and a pencil icon will appear over the inline-editable field, then double click the field to enable edit mode:

    After setting the checkbox, click outside of the field and your active value will be saved.

  5. The plan you are subscribed to for this Organizational Unit.
  6. The sub-domain portion of your url, i.e., the custom portion of your url that identifies your Organizational Unit.

Create an Organizational Unit

  1. The name of your Organizational Unit.
  2. The unique portion of the url that identifies your Organizational Unit. For example: My Organizational Unit has sub-domain “uat”, so the Event Manager link is https://uat.staging.grenadine.co/.
  3. A description of the Organizational Unit. You can use this field to distinguish the use of different Organizational Units if you have many.
  4. The first name of the initial person that will configure this Organizational Unit.
  5. The last name of the initial person that will configure this Organizational Unit.
  6. The email address of the initial person that will configure this Organizational Unit.
  7. The Customer that is associated with this Organizational Unit. This is likely your Organization’s name. For example: In the case of Grenadine, “Grenadine” is the customer name.
